What is Crokinole?
Crokinole is a classic Canadian tabletop game that’s part shuffleboard, part billiards, and endlessly addictive. Players take turns flicking wooden discs across a round board, aiming to knock out opponents’ pieces while landing their own in the high-scoring centre hole. It’s easy to learn in five minutes but takes a lifetime to master, which is exactly why were setting up Guelph’s own league.
Crokinole might look like a quiet game you’d find at a cottage or family reunion, but it becomes something else entirely: friendly rivalries, sharp trick shots, plenty of laughter, and a genuinely welcoming community of players from beginners to seasoned sharpshooters. Whether you’re looking for some friendly competition, a new hobby, or just a fun night out meeting fellow Guelphites, there’s a spot at the board for you.

How it works
- Wednesday nights: drop in or reserve your spot
- Free to reserve a spot: pay a one time $15 to the bar when you arrive
- Beginner-friendly: paddles, boards, and rules explained on the spot
- All skill levels: from total newcomers to league regulars
- Bring a friend: teams and pairings welcome
- Drinks available: bar available all night
