When the sun goes down, Café La Poche puts the coffee cups away and lights the lamps. The same wooden tables and antique décor that hosted your morning meeting now hold a glass of something well-crafted, a little conversation, and a lot less hurry. It’s the same room. Just a slower, warmer version of it.
We keep it intimate on purpose. With room for 30 guests, there’s no shouting over a crowd and no fighting for a seat at the bar. Just soft lighting, soothing tunes, and a bartender who knows their way around a proper drink.
An Honest, Unhurried Vibe
There’s no dress code to worry about and no scene to perform for. La Poche in the evening is for catching up with an old friend, having a first date that doesn’t feel like an interview, or simply sitting with a book and a good pour. The antique furniture, dim lamps, and easy playlist do most of the work. You just have to show up and settle in.

Join us Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, or Friday and Saturday from 6:00 PM to midnight. We’re at 40 Quebec Street in downtown Guelph. Pull up a stool, order something good, and stay a while.
